Phillips has prepared a Hair Removal System for body with Slide and Flash mode – Lumea SC2004/11. Thanks to this device, we can remove hair from legs, belly, armpits and bikini area. Body skin stays smooth without ingrowing and fast growing out hair. This kind of effect can hold even up to a month. What is more, Lumea System is recommended for body skin hair removal only. Obviously, there is also a face hair removal system available, which is sold as a separate device. Generally speaking, while working, Philips Lumea produces flashing light responsible for eliminating unwanted body hair. The device generates over 100 000 flashes. Naturally, there is the possibility of setting the insensitivity of the light produced in five different set-ups. We can do it in order to adjust working of Lumea Phillips accordingly to our skin type and its needs. What is more, this System contains UV filter that prevents from ultraviolet radiation. Furthermore, Phillips Lumea is equipped with a system that precludes flashes from being self-realised. Additionally, the complete set comprises also of several adapters due to which we are able to remove hair from particular body parts. Naturally, Phillips Lumea goes with a manual and a charger (charging time equals 100 minutes).
How long does it take to remove hair from certain body parts? In general, eight minutes have to be devoted on eliminating hair of lower leg. When it comes to armpits and bikini area, these places require only one minute to be deprived of hair. Why does it last so short? These body parts are covered with extremely delicate and sensitive skin. Longer working of electrical impulses might lead to skin irritation.
What does Intense Pulsed Light depends on? IPL is a light-based technology that provides (almost) permanent hair removal treatment. It is all about applying gentle pulses of light to the follicles making these weaker and, as a consequence, damaged. In such a way, our skin is completely hair-free since new hair is not able to grow out. How long does this effect last? We can enjoy smooth skin for about a half of a year. Certainly, body hair will appear again because follicles are powerful enough to regenerate. However IPL is a way better solution than a disposable razor or wax treatments. Worth mentioning, the quality of IPL treatment depends on colour and thickness of hair. Last but not least, photoepilation is not recommended to people who have got damaged skin, scars or suffer from skin allergies.
